DISTINCTIONS
In addition to serving on the University of Kansas Law Review during law school, Mr. Westby also served as staff attorney in the Office of Legal Services for Students, assisting students at the University with a variety of legal issues. In his first position after law school he served as Law Clerk for the Honorable John David Sullivan of the 18th Judicial District Court in Fort Collins, Colorado, assisting Judge Sullivan with a busy trial docket of both civil and criminal matters. In his work as an attorney, Mr. Westby has practiced in the areas of civil rights litigation, commercial and contract disputes, construction defect litigation, personal injury litigation, and disputes involving homeowner’s associations. He has represented homeowner’s associations in foreclosure actions and lawsuits involving rights and responsibilities under the association’s governing documents.

FOCUS OF PRACTICE
Mr. Westby represents individuals and companies in civil litigation in a variety of matters including personal injury issues, premises liability, vehicle accidents, construction defects, and contract and commercial disputes. He also represents insurance companies in insurance coverage analysis and first-party claims. He also represents homeowner’s associations in personal injury issues and disputes pertaining to construction defects and governance under the association’s governing documents.
